From a design standpoint, the 2026 Li i8 delivers an immediate impression of being a crossover. This is largely due to its front-end styling, which draws inspiration from the locomotive-style or teardrop-shaped design seen on the Li Auto MEGA. The low and sleek front profile enhances aerodynamics and allows for a seamless integration between the A-pillars and the body. With the optimization of electric drivetrain components, the vehicle’s structure benefits from a more efficient layout, improving both front-end airflow and interior spaciousness comparable to that of an MPV.

In terms of styling, the Li i8 also carries over key visual elements from the Li Auto L series, including a distinctive U-shaped lighting and intake structure. This includes adaptive LED headlights and compact air vents. The daytime running light remains a full-width design, but its position has been slightly adjusted moved from the upper grille area to just below the front windshield. The lighting performance in real-world driving still awaits practical validation.

At the rear, the Li i8 shares strong design similarities with the L series. The full-width taillight uses a light smoked finish, and the shallow channels formed between the light clusters and the body panels enhance visibility and warning functionality. Combined with the high-mounted brake light integrated into the rear spoiler, the design creates a layered and dynamic rear profile. Compared to the Ideal L8, the Li i8 now features a fully blacked-out roof for a more refined and stretched visual proportion. The rear bumper is equipped with a full-width black skid plate and extended reflective strips, offering improved protection across diverse road conditions.
